Projects & Workspaces

The Projects page and workspace system give you a structured way to organize and manage all the work, documents, and conversations that belong to a project.

The Projects Page

The Projects dashboard is your starting point when you open the application.

When you open a project, you land on the project dashboard. The dashboard is split into two panels:

  • Workspaces (left panel) — Your workspace sessions for this project.
  • Resources (right panel) — Documents and Datasets tabs for this project's source material and structured data.

You can move between the dashboard and open workspaces using the tab bar at the top of the page. The Dashboard tab is always present. Workspace tabs appear as you open them.

Workspaces Panel

The Workspaces panel lists all workspaces that belong to the project. Each workspace shows its name and creation date.

From the Workspaces panel you can:

  • Open a workspace — Click Open on any workspace. It opens as a new tab.
  • Add a workspace — Click Add and enter a name for the new workspace.
  • Delete a workspace — Use the workspace actions menu.

Resources Panel

The Resources panel organizes project materials under two tabs:

  • Documents — The full list of uploaded source documents and their processing status.
  • Datasets — Structured datasets that belong to this project.

Both tabs support browsing, search, and management actions. Documents can be uploaded from the Documents tab, and datasets can be created or imported from the Datasets tab.

Workspace Tabs

When you open a workspace, it appears as a tab next to the Dashboard tab. You can have multiple workspace tabs open at the same time. Closing a workspace tab by clicking the × on the tab does not delete the workspace.

Project Visibility

Projects have a visibility setting that controls who can access them:

PrivateOnly you. The project is not visible to anyone else, including other Team members.
SharedSpecific people you invite. You grant access on a per-person basis regardless of Team membership.
TeamAll members of your Team. Any member can open and work within the project.

Team projects use the organization's shared credit pool for document processing and AI usage. When you create or update a project inside a Team workspace, you can select the visibility level from the project settings.

Autosave

Workspace content saves automatically. You do not need to manually save your work. Chat history, notebook content, and workspace settings are preserved as you work.
